Airport Hotel Review: Aerotel

Updated: Aug 29, 2021

Imagine when you have a layover of more than 5 hours at the airport and you are looking for an airport shower or a comfortable bed to rest in. Thus, Airport Transit Hotel is becoming a popular service during your transit flights.

Airport Hotel Review: Aerotel

I was transiting from Singapore to Sydney and I checked into Aerotel Singapore. A one-kind airport transit hotel in Singapore Changi Airport.

About Aerotel

Aerotel is an airport transit hotel in Singapore, London, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Cebu, Beijing, and Kuala Lumpur. Unlike other airport hotels, Aerotel is located airside of Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, I must book a transit hotel during my layover as I am not allowed to walk around Changi Airport Terminal 1.

Aerotel Airport Transit Hotel can be booked hourly. Having said that, you can book your stay for 2 hours, 3 hours or 8 hours. It is so flexible and you can have your shower during your layover. The bathroom is ensuite and with a comfy bed and you can request extra pillows.

In addition, this is an amazing airport transit hotel because there's a rooftop top swimming pool. Sounds amazing right? While transiting and you can have your sunbath and relaxation. However, due to COVID-19, I can't enjoy this facility.

How To Book?

I booked the hotel via the Aerotel website and using the Smart Traveller App, I have enjoyed an additional 10% off for my stay! What a great deal! To enjoy this exclusive deal, you must become a member of Smart Traveller. Simply sign up for the membership for free. Also, this is an amazing travel app where you can enjoy massive discounts and deals for airport dining and Plaza Premium Lounges globally. Not only that, you still able to earn the rewards points and redeem them within the Smart Traveller marketplace.

Double Room

This Double Room is pretty much spacious and a lot of spaces for me to put on the baggage. However, I noticed the aircond is centralised but there's free Wi-Fi so I still able to connect with my family in Sydney. The bathroom is very clean and spacious as well. It is not a typical airport hotel where I have stayed before in London.

My Final Verdict

I would recommend you to stay at Aerotel because this is a great hotel for you to stay in during transit and I don't see what cons of booking an airport transit hotel for rest. In-room meals were included during my stay and there were a few options available there. The hotel staff is friendly and pretty helpful.
