Best Chloé Perfumes
Chloé is a fashion house that’s been around since the 1950s and is credited with creating ready to wear designs that could be enjoyed off of the rack. Although they were quite popular in this area of fashion, they decided to release their first fragrance in 1975—known simply as Parfums Chloé. Ever since then, they’ve been creating fascinating perfumes that definitely deserve a second look. Today, TheHoursTime will give you an honest verdict for the Best Chloé perfume you should use.
In the decades since they released their signature perfume, Chloé has created almost 3 dozen different fragrance. Many more than want the average consumer can be expected to try out for themselves. Today, I'm going to share with you my top Chloé perfumes you should wear.
Chloé Eau de Parfum
First, Chloé Eau de Parfum is a Floral fragrance for women only. Chloé Eau de Parfum was launched in 2008 and was created by Amandine Clerc-Marie and Michel Almairac. The top notes are Peony, Litchi and Freesia; the middle notes are Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley and Magnolia; the base notes are Virginia Cedar and Amber.
Chloé is very pretty! She’s a very fresh floral. Suitable for any occasion! Classic and reliable, for people who really like this perfume. is a pretty, fresh, straight-ahead soapy rose perfume. On application, there's a teeny bit of citrus or fruity note (the litchi, maybe?), then a rosy freshness. I found something in the opening to be reminiscent of a not unpleasant cleanser scent -- I sometimes notice this aspect with "fresh" perfumes. I also detect a low-key, light ambery quality. The dry downturns a bit powdery, and there's an interesting bitterness, almost, grounding the scent. It doesn't have great longevity on me, at least -- maybe 4 hours, tops, and then it's simply a skin scent. However, this is probably the best Chloé so far.
On top of that, Chloé actually reminds me a lot of Kim Kardashian Fleur Fatale, except Fleur Fatale is more of a "lipstick rose" scent, while Chloé is a little more ambery. I have to admit, I may like Fleur Fatale better (plus, it's cheaper!) because of its Earl Grey tea note. I'm interested to try both Roses de Chloé (which supposedly Fleur Fatale REALLY resembles) as well as Chloé Absolu, because I love rose, patchouli, and vanilla, and maybe it would have more staying power, as well. I definitely like Chloé but can't say I LOVE it. For now, I'll use up my sample, try out the two other Chloes, and enjoy Fleur Fatale which is quite similar.
In addition, Roses De Chloé is a Floral fragrance for women. Chloé Roses De Chloé was launched in 2013. Top notes are Litchi, Bergamot, Tarragon and Lemon; middle notes are Damask Rose, Magnolia, Cedar, Apple, Black Currant and Peach; base notes are White Musk, Amber and Woody Notes.
Roses De Chloé
In my view, Roses De Pretty Chloé starts with some fruit, but it doesn't scream "lychee" at me. I wish it did though, I love lychee. Anyways, the fruity freshness doesn't last very long. Within a few minutes, we've moved into the definite straight rose territory. It is a light, airy, springtime rose. It stays this way until fading away a couple of hours later. This smells 80% like the original Chloé to me, but less sharp and lower longevity. Love it!
Roses de Chloé is a light, linear rose scent. This is not a complex fragrance by any means. Rose perfumes have a reputation for smelling "matronly" but in this case, there is a slight freshness and fruitiness that prevents it from being dated. I know melon is not one of the listed notes but I swear I can smell something along those lines in the top notes. The melon vibe fades after a few minutes and then the fragrance is a pure rose. Though it's an EDT, I find it to have decent longevity, particularly on clothes.
In short, this is a very delicate and natural rose. It’s crisp, clean and easy to wear. I feel like a ballerina when I wear this because it just feels/smells like that creamy pink colour of ballerinas’ ensembles and is suitable on men skin. This isn’t as a blooming bouquet smell, it’s more of the soapy smell of the original Chloe accompanied by a clean rose.
Chloé Absolu de Parfum
Next, my favourite is Chloé Absolu de Parfum is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Chloé Absolu de Parfum was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Michel Almairac. The top note is Damask Rose; the middle notes are Grasse Rose and Patchouli; the base note is Vanilla.
Chloe Absolu is gorgeous like the Chloe EDP, same DNA just a little bit of patchouli. Patchouli is my least favourite note, however in this fragrance, it's not dirty or earthy, it's soft and slightly sweet patchouli.
Original Chloe is one of my all-time favourites because of how rosy it is. This one has less rose, still, a very much rose perfume don't get me wrong, but not as in your face as the original. Do u agree?
Usually “absolu”, “intense”, “lextrait” versions tend to be dirtier, but this fragrance is just as clean and soapy as the og. Also despite not being listed in the notes, litchi note is definitely present. The reason I got a sample of this was that the original doesn't last on me at all, unfortunately, same with Absolu. But sillage is better, I’ll give it that. I won't be using this one instead of Chloe EDP but glad I'm tried this.
My final verdict, Chloé Absolu de Parfum is a beautiful, feminine, and elegant perfume. It smells chic and expensive. I am a sucker for patchouli and rose and if I was on a distant island and I could take only 2 things, the opening is absolutely intoxicating! I actually crave it, like someone who needs their fix! I'm not usually a fan of patchouli, but this has a very unique smell, softer in a way and (to me) a unique combination. Love the dry-down too.
This is a very safe perfume to wear at work and on a daily basis, as it's very soft. I wouldn't really wear this going out in the evenings as, sadly, I can't really smell it after a short while, so I keep over spraying. I don't know if others can smell me, but I really wished this would last longer, it's quite expensive and if I can't smell it on myself after 30 mins, it means I'll be going through bottles like no tomorrow.
Chloe Fleur de Parfum
Chloé Fleur de Parfum is a Floral fragrance for women. Chloé Fleur de Parfum was launched in 2016. Chloé Fleur de Parfum was created by Michel Almairac and Mylene Alran. The top notes are Verbena, Bergamot and Grapefruit; the middle notes are Rose, Cherry Blossom, Black Currant and Peach; the base notes are Rice, White Musk and Cedar.
On me, this is the reverse of Chloé l'Eau, as it is heavy on citrus with just a hint of rose. Not being a fan of citrus intensive fragrances it's not going to become a favourite. It does balance more after dry down as time passes, but I'm still left with something very light and, frankly, not different from the many citrus florals out there. For me, if it had detectable base notes, maybe I'd have a different opinion. If you like mostly citrus with just a *hint* of rose and nothing too heavy, this could be for you. HAHA
In short, it smells like soapy clean roses with a twist of citrus. It's really refreshing and light. Nothing jumps out at you. I think this would make a lovely spring or summer scent. When worn on my skin the verbena jumped out a lot more to an almost overpowering degree. So, you have heard of my best Chloé perfumes, which 1 you like the most?
