The hotel is within walking distance of Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue shopping, excellent restaurants, historic museums, and exciting Broadway theatres.
Located on 5th Avenue and 55th Street, this hotel is in a good position for exploring Midtown East and its attractions on foot. Central Park is also a quick stroll away. Starting at 370-square feet, rooms are luxurious retreats with plush fabrics, king-size beds, and large work desks. Excellent high-tech amenities include a bedside console that controls the lighting, sound, and thermostat. I love their bathroom with marble and have Oscar de la Renta bath products, bathrobes, and slippers, and most have a walk-in shower with a
separate deep soaking tub. It looks very elegant, luxurious, and classic.
The king-size bed also makes me feel comfortable at all.
My Final Verdict
The top-level pool is worth a visit, even if just for a quick dip and peek at the spectacular views. Likewise, the spa on the 21st floor is fabulous. New Yorkers have long come here without booking a room at the hotel, and it takes just one treatment to see why – the expert staff knows how to make even the most highly strung unwind, and the soothing space is truly regenerating. Staying at The Peninsula feels like a decadent, treat-yourself wonderful New York experience. It might not be the newest, edgiest spot, but sometimes a little classic luxury is exactly what you need. Immerse yourself in this luxury 5-star hotel now!
