Hotel Review: Raffles Hotel Singapore

Raffles Hotel Singapore is the most iconic luxury hotel in Singapore and is worth a stay once in your life. I finally checked in Raffles Hotel Singapore for the first time recently. This iconic Singapore hotel has been opened since 1887 and is classified as one of the few remaining great 19th-century luxury 5-stars hotels in the world.

Location

Located along Beach Road, 1 Beach Road 189673 Singapore, Singapore

Rooms

Rooms at the Raffles Hotel Singapore are normally the ultimate expensive, but the current situation has compelled the Raffles Hotel to offer a very attractive staycation package, presenting what could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay here. This is because usually per night is SGD1k+ at low season, peak season and up to SGD2k per night

In addition, I’d never stayed at the Raffles Hotel before, so you can imagine my excitement for this particular hotel review. The room I checked in was State Room Suite as part of The Suite Life package I booked. This was my home for 2 nights, where the package is priced from S$798++ before GST for 2 nights. It is probably one of the lowest prices I will see Raffles Hotel Singapore selling their suites for a long while.

Upon arrival at the Raffles Hotel Singapore, all the guests are required to scan the QR code or the safe entry and temperature taking before entering the lobby.

Inside the room, the parlour is finished in a contemporary colonial interior, classic and elegant. It comes with ample natural light from the entrance and is a perfect space to idle the afternoon away while catching up on some reading on the in-room iPad, or simply watching the TV programmes. In addition, there is a workstation if you need to work on your laptop, which I hope is not the case for a stay at Raffles Hotel Singapore.

On top of that, the mini-bar is housed in a big box in orange colour, which is one of the most classy mini-bar I have seen. You can help yourself with the complimentary packets of Raffles Singapore Tea and other alcoholic beverages that come at separate charges that need to pay. Besides, there is a welcome kit on the table, a Personal Care Kit is also retailing at the Raffles Boutique for your well-being.

Final Thought

It is worth staying at this iconic hotel although the price is super expensive at least you should try it once in a lifetime. As you know, this hotel was one of the scenes in Crazy Rich Asian.
