Updated: Apr 13

Perfumes, parfum and colognes are scents that men and women wear to enhance their beauty or even attract a potential mate. Do you agree?

Perfume can enhance your mood or simply help you smell really good in the office, public area or even when you are taking public transport. Basically, there are more than thousands of different perfumes and colognes available on the market today. In fact, wearable scents have become a multi-billion-dollar-per-year business.

Today, we wanted to show you these are the brands that you should try and invest in it.

Celine Black Tie

Black Tie by Celine is an Oriental Woody fragrance for both women and men. This is a new fragrance. Black Tie was launched in 2019. A couturier’s parfume, the exact olfactory interpretation of his style in relation to fashion: his obsession with black and a tailored silhouette. An androgynous composition, around vanilla as dense and as crisp as grain de poudre or lacquered satin. Fashioned like a dinner jacket, cedar and tree moss structure its allure, while the powdery caress of orris troubles body and mind." - a note from the brand.

Tom Ford Noir de Noir

Noir de Noir by Tom Ford is a Chypre fragrance for both women and men. Noir de Noir was launched in 2007. Noir de Noir was created by Jacques Cavallier and Harry Fremont. Top note is Saffron; middle notes are Black Rose, Truffle and Floral Notes; base notes are Patchouli, Vanilla, Agarwood (Oud) and Oakmoss.

Before you decide to buy any fragrance, you must do a few simple tests to make sure that it is something you will want to wear and that you will enjoy. Do a simple sniff test of the bottle first to get the main idea of what it smells like. The key, however, is to try a bit of the fragrance on your skin rather than the tester paper.

Most of the department stores and cosmetics stores will offer testers for customers so they can try something before they buy it. Our skin has its own unique code of hormones and pheromones that can slightly or even extremely alter the way a fragrance smells. My advice for you, try to spray a small amount on your wrists, wait a few moments, and then smell the scent on your skin.

So, what is your all-time favourite scent?
